Q & A: Helpful Tips to Keep in Mind with Rentals 



To get the best experience out of your party rentals, here are a couple of helpful tips to remember. 


Don't turn off the Blower If you want your Inflatable Inflated

Turning off the blower will stop the pressure of air going into your inflatable or bounce house, which keeps it up. Without the blower, your inflatable won't inflate. If you ever have questions about your blower or your rental, don't hesitate to call us. A customer rep will be more than happy to help you with any questions regarding the blower or inflatable. 

If for any reason, there is something wrong with the blower and it isn't correctly inflating your jumper or inflatable, call us, and we can send a driver to help replace it with another one. 

If you want the power to your rentals, don't turn off the generator

If rentals are hooked up to one of our generators, please don't turn off the generator during your event. Turning off the generator will result in the loss of power to your rentals. 

Upon delivery, one of our drivers will show you how to turn off the generator once your event or party has ended. If you see that there is something wrong with the generator, please feel free to call us, and a customer service rep will assist you or send a driver to help you. Replacing one of our generators with one of your own isn't a good idea. We cannot guarantee that the generator will supply enough power to your rentals, and if something doesn't work correctly, we won't be able to assist you.

Please don't forget to follow the rules

Rules are there to keep the participants safe. All of our bounce houses have a set of rules printed on the front before entering the unit. Keep the rules in mind since they are there for your safety and the safety of others.

For jumpers, there are many sizes available to rent, which also means the number of participants that can be inside at one-time may vary. If it is advised that there be five children at one-time, please be sure to follow the rules since allowing more may result in injury. If there are any questions about a unit or you are unsure of something, don't hesitate to call us and we will be more than happy to answer all your questions.

Kick-Start your Holiday Party Planning

The Holiday season is upon us, and planning a great holiday party can be fun but stressful. It's only natural to want to plan a fun and memorable event for all your guests. Don't stress there are some helpful and easy steps to follow to create and prepare for an unforgettable holiday party.

Before you start planning, always consider the number of people you want to invite, what type of food you will be serving, and if you wish to implement a theme. Once you've answered these questions, the planning can commence.


Food or Food?

It's no guessing that food is one of the essential components to having a successful event or party. Whether you are serving appetizers, casual dining, or a buffet, knowing what you will be serving your guests is essential. If you plan on hosting a large guest list, looking for a great caterer might be the easier option. It's important that if you are interested in booking someone to cater your party, start planning now so you can reserve with enough time. During the holiday season it's not uncommon for catering businesses or any rental business to get booked out quickly.

If you are expecting a smaller crowd making some easy dishes might be the best bet for your holiday party. Home-cooked meals are always special, and if you aren't expecting a big crowd, cooking a couple of dishes can be the star on-top to make your holiday party that more special. Don't know where to start? Here are a couple of ideas or options for your holiday dinner menu:

Do-it-yourself dinner options:
  • Mac 'n Cheese: Classic, simple, and you can make a lot of it without making a dent in your wallet.
  • Sweet Potato Casserole: This might be a bit more of a dessert, but it makes for a great side dish, and people will love it.
  • Honey/Glazed Ham: You can get any sized ham at your local grocery store but make it your own. Add simple toppings like honey, cranberry sauce, or brown sugar to give a delicious twist to your holiday ham.
  • Loaded Mashed Potatoes: You can't go wrong with some delicious mashed potatoes. Loaded mashed potatoes will have your guests going for seconds (or even thirds). After adding all the essentials to classic mashed potatoes, add in chopped bacon, cheddar cheese, and some scallions.

To have a theme or not to have a theme, that is the question?

Adding a theme to your holiday party might be a given, but sometimes you want to do things differently and add in a bit more detail to the event. A classic holiday party with Christmas trees, red and green lights and decor, can be the easy front runner for your event's theme. But there are other simples themes that you can incorporate to your party that can make an extraordinary difference.

Winter Wonderland: Don't have snow? No problem. You can still bring a Winter Wonderland to your event with easy DIY projects.
  1. For Indoor setup: Use white or light grey linens for all your tables and use white chairs for seating. For a delicate and simple centerpiece idea, buy some fake snow or a snow blanket from any craft store and spread it out across the middle of the table, add some white glitter over the top. You can add some white, silver or gold candles in the center in a clear vase to create an enchanting look. Use silver and white serving dishes to really make your dinner pop.
  2. For Outdoor setup: Add some white lights to the outside where you will be hosting your party. Align the space with lights on the porch, inside a tent or along the walls. Use white linens for all your tables and use white chairs for seating. You can use white candles or tea lights throughout all the tables to give a white, winter wonderland look. Add some cut out snowflakes throughout your outdoor setup to give it an extra touch. Add snowflakes to the table and you can also create centerpieces using the same steps as the indoor setup.

    Q & A: Why are we an 8-hour rental?


    One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our customers is, "Why are we an 8-hour rental?" Magic Jump Rentals services many areas of SoCal, and because of this, we need to limit our time of rental. You always have the option to keep your rental overnight, IF it has not been rented out for the next day, which also comes at an additional cost. 

    A big reason why we are an 8-hour rental is that when the rentals are returned, we clean every single one of our products to be ready for the next order. The cleaning process takes time, and since we have many orders, we have to make sure that we focus enough time on the cleaning process. This detail benefits our customers because we only want to provide the best and cleanest product for you. 

    Once our products are disinfected and cleaned, they are ready to go for their next event. 

    The reason for an 8-hour rental is also for the safety and security of our product. Since we entrust that our clients will take the best care of our products while they are rented out, we cannot allow our products to stay longer without proper care, or security that it won't be stolen or damaged.

    Q & A: What to Expect if you are Renting for a Park 


    The great thing with Magic Jump Rentals is that we deliver to several locations, business and this includes parks. Parks are a great place to host an event or birthday party, especially if you don’t have adequate space. 

    There are a couple of steps to follow when renting for a park to ensure that your rental goes smoothly. 

    An important factor if renting to have your event at a park is a permit. Many parks require a permit to have your event at the park. We will not deliver your rentals until we have received a copy of the park permit. After you have booked your rentals, we will advise you to call the park as soon as possible to see if a permit is required and whether there will be accessible electricity for your inflatable. Calling before renting is a good proactive step, but if you have to add a generator to your order, with enough notice, there is no problem. 

    A couple of questions you will want to ask the park regarding your event and rentals is: 

    • Do they require a permit to have an event? 
    • Are there designated areas? 
    • Are there any size restrictions on inflatables? 
    • Is there electricity for your rentals, or will you need a generator? 

    When ordering your rentals, if you have any questions about how to go about getting a permit, we are more than happy to point in the right direction. 

    There is no guarantee that a park will provide electricity or a generator, so calling ahead and asking about the area where you are looking to have your event is essential. 

    The good thing about a lot of parks is the big open space, but when it comes to renting inflatables or anything that will require electricity, having a generator is essential. Making sure you rent enough generators for your inflatables, which may include bounce houses, slides, or obstacle courses, is very important to ensure they are adequately inflated the whole time. 

    After we have received your permit and have confirmed with the park whether or not you need generator(s), you are ready for your event.

    Q & A : How far ahead should you book your rentals with Magic Jump Rentals?

     

    We want to make sure that you have the chance to rent what you need for your event and not have to worry about having it booked out. We always recommend booking at least two weeks in advance.

    During our peak months which is between June-July and during the month of October we recommend booking your rentals three weeks ahead since our rentals book quicker during those months.

    Booking in advance insures your rental and you have plenty of time to makes changes to your order. You have three days before the day of your event to cancel your order without being charged.

    If you require insurance for your rentals, for example if it is required by a park, it will take about two weeks to process.

    Easy Guide on How to Book Your Rental Online

    Magic Jump Rentals wants to make sure your renting experience is easy and convenient for you. Renting online with Magic Jump Rentals is hassle-free and is meant to show you the rentals that are available for the date of your event. 



    Once you are on the Magic Jump Rentals Website, all you have to do is fill out five things at the top of our website. 

    1. Zip Code of where your event will be taking place.
    2. Date of your event. 
    3. The time you would like to get your rentals dropped off. 
    4. Pick up day 
    5. Pick up Time

    After you have filled out those five things, you can hit "submit." You can click through our rentals and see which ones you would like to rent. The rentals that are not available will appear saying “Unavailable.” 

    Keep in mind that Magic Jump Rentals is a 8 hour rental with an exception of the mechanical rides that are 4 hour rentals. If you wish to keep inflatables overnight, there is an overnight fee that can be determined at check out. 

    You can shop through our site, adding your rentals to your cart. Once you are ready to check out, select “view cart” or click on the little shopping bag at the top right corner. You have the option to sign in if you are a previous customer or register as a new account. Creating an account before filling out address and billing info will make it a quicker process. You will eventually be redirected to creating an account before your proceed to the billing information.

    After selecting "Checkout," you can now fill out more detailed information:
    • Event location, 
    • Address
    • Any special instructions for the delivery. 

    Once that has been filled out, there are a couple of questions that need to be filled out before completing your order. 
    • Setup surface
    • Damage waiver 
    • Any steps to the setup
    • Overnight option
    • Insurance certificate

    You can then "checkout" and fill out all your billing information and credit card information. You have the option of putting a deposit or paying it in full. After all your information has been filled out and you have double-checked that everything looks correct, you can select "submit payment." 

    You can expect a confirmation email, and you are good to go!
