Extra Dollars for Extra Security

So you're planning an event and you have many options for vendors. You're shopping around and notice the same item in two different locations, with two different prices. You wonder why the same item is listed at different prices: One vendor is giving you a 50% discount, another vendor will deliver for free and a different vendor will even let you keep it over night for no extra charge. With all the different options and different vendors, and different prices, who do you choose so you know you have peace of mind if anything is to go wrong?

Picking the perfect party package is only half the job. When you are price shopping and looking for the best deal you can find, keep your eyes out for the fine prints each company has. When hosting a party and/or event, you become the person responsible for all the guests at the party. Make sure the company you are renting from is fully insured and can provide you with an insurance certificate which will protect you if anything happens. Even though we all plan (and some of us overplan) to prevent injuries, sometime accidents happen and kids may get hurt.

If and when a child gets hurt, it becomes your responsibility as the host, to take care of the injured person. An insurance certificate provided by your vendor covers you if an accident occurs during your event.  Make sure that the vendor you are renting from is fully insured and is able to put your name, or the location of the event, as a certificate holder. If your name is on the insurance certificate as the "certificate holder", you are fully insured for the duration of time that is listed on the insurance. When the company provides you with an insurance certificate, it is your responsibility to make sure that all the information on the certificate is correct.

One question that gets asked a lot is "Is the permit I got from the city and the insurance certificate the same thing?"

Actually, no. The permit that is given to you from the city (usually for city park rentals or even a block party) is a written document from the city that gives you permission to host your event at the park. A permit is usually needed if you are having vendors at your event: especially for an inflatable. If you have an inflatable (or any other vendor) at your event, and do not have a permit, the city rangers may come and have you shut off the inflatable and will be unable to use it.
The insurance certificate you get from your vendors covers you for the duration of your event which  covers for any injuries that may happen. If your vendor does not supply you with an insurance certificate, and an injury happens, you are held responsible for any expenses that need to be covered for the injured person.

Zorb Balls in Hyundai Super Bowl Commercial

Bubble Balls (Zorb Balls) in Hyundai Super Bowl Commercial
Check out our Bubble Balls (AKA Zorb Balls) as they were featured in the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe commercial called the Epic Playdate. The Zorb Balls in the Super Bowl make it very evident how popular these giant inflatable balls that people get inside to ride or roll around in have become. The crew for the commercial decided to choose Magic Jump Rentals as the vendor for the Zorb Ball Rentals because of the many options we have available for rental. We were able to work with the film crew to provide them different sizes and options that would work best for the commercial and the setup. You can see the new Hyundai Santa Fe pulling the Zorb Ball on a trailer to a big grassy area where the kids get inside and use it as a giant bowling ball. This is one of the many ways our Zorb Balls can be used for a "epic playdate".

Bridgit Mendler Riding Mechanical Bull on Good Luck Charlie

Set of Disney's Good Luck Charlie with Bridgit Mendler
Watch Disney's hit show Good Luck Charlie as the main star Bridgit Mendler rides a Mechanical Bull Ride. The production crew of Good Luck Charlie wanted to feature a Mechanical Bull Ride at a bar scene called "Boots and Saddles" and they picked Magic Jump Rentals as the vendor for their Mechanical Bull. With many Mechanical Bull Rental options, we had a color scheme and bull ride that matched their set design. We have had our products featured in many movies, shows, commercials, and music videos, but this recent appearance was an exciting one as we had our very own Gary Torosyan being filmed in the show as the Mechanical Bull operator at the bar. Gary was responsible for operating the Mechanical Bull that Bridgit Mendler was riding for the shoot. We worked very hard to coordinate and make the Bull Ride work with multiple options for the film crew and we can't wait until it is featured in the show this season.

Scan QR Code on Bounce Houses for More Information

QR Code Scanner
Magic Jump Rentals continues to lead the way with innovation and determination to customer service and convenience. Look out for our QR Codes on every inflatable bounce house, slide, obstacle, interactive game, water slide, or mechanical ride from now on. Yes, now you can simply scan the bar code and be directed to the product page where you can rent the product for your next event, view or download the safety rules, view additional information about the operation of the product and view any related product videos. We are streamlining how information is being brought to our customers through the latest advances in QR codes and how they are being used with smart phones and tablets.

This QR Code scanner technology which you find commonly used in large retail stores for consumers to access more detailed information regarding products is now being used for inflatable rentals! Attendants or parents supervising their kids can quickly scan the QR code to get more information about the product, view or download the Safety Rules from the product page and/or view any related product videos. We believe this should provide easier access to safety rules and operation instructions and improve safety during operation of Magic Jump Rentals' inflatables and games.

QR Codes will be located near our Safety Rules plaque which is usually located near the entrance of any inflatable ride.

These 3D product views do not incorporate any Flash, so go ahead and check them out with your Smart Phones and Tablets.

Live Chat Support
Another new addition to our website is Live Chat Support. Since the majority of clients today use the website to collect information and plan for their events, we decided to make it easier to answer any questions you might have. Helping YMCA Programs Grow

While Magic Jump Rentals is a proud sponsor of many non-profit organizations, we have decided to go a step further by making a donation to the Culver-Palms YMCA Preschool. We believe that a strong sense of community comes within the people, businesses and the supporters. The YMCA has a wonderful program that assists families that cannot afford childcare or preschool with scholarships by business and people’s donations.

The YMCA Preschool program gives children the opportunity to become part of a learning environment filled with social building skills, singing, reading, writing and building strong social characters. The program also allows parents to enroll their children in various different programs such as swimming classes, summer/winter camps or join one of the many sport teams such as basketball, soccer or cheerleading. Supporting programs such as this is very important to us here at Magic Jump Rentals because we believe that no child should be left without the opportunity of a higher education.

NEW: Tug-of-War Rental

When it comes time to challenge two teams to a test of strength, there is no better tried and true way to do so than with a classic battle of Tug-of-War. Magic Jump Rentals now offers you the convenience of settling the score between teams with its newest product addition: a special-made 50' Tug-of-War Rope.

Enough of the metaphorical tug-of-war; trying to convince others whose side is the bigger, better, stronger side is not very effective. Instead of trying to swing people's opinions into your favor, just swing the people themselves over with brute strength.

Tug-of-War is a simple game that has stood the test of time. It has been, is and always will be a fun and competitive challenge pitting two teams face-to-face against each other. Although it isn't a contact sport, risk of injury is present, so be sure to play fair.

Align two teams at either end of the rope and set the designated markers (a center line and marker directly beneath it on the ground and two lines on either side of the center line at an equal distance). Make sure the teams consist of an even number of players that do not pass a fair maximum weight limit. Once everyone is on their marks and set it's time to have a go at Tug-of-War.

The rules are simple, grip the rope under the arms and pull until the other teams marker passes the center marker to win. Falling, sitting, touching the ground for an extended period of time and pulling over the shoulder are considered fouls, but you need not be overly strict, after all you're simply having some fun with a classic game of Tug-of-War.

For added excitement you may even create a neutral zone in the center with mud, water, or any other sort of soft pit for players to fall into when they get pulled forward. Just make sure you pay outdoors.

Unlike the rope used, Tug-of-War is a flexible game that can be played in a variety of scenarios. Whether you're in gym class, at Army boot camp, at group fitness training or even just a picnic/party with family and friends, you can always have fun at Tug-of-War. It is also a great team-building activity for corporate events.

For only $25 it is a great addition to any event, from birthday parties to company picnics. Get together and test each other's strength at Tug-of-War, you certainly wont face the same challenege when deciding what game to add to your next party.

NEWS: KTLA 5 Beyond Bouncers Premiere

Magic Jump Rentals was featured in KTLA 5 Sunday morning news episode called Beyond Bouncers. Anchor Chris Burrous and reporter Olga Ospina talked with manager Arthur Bagumyan about the safety of inflatable bounce houses and the different varieties offered for party rentals.

Olga Ospina and Arthur Bagumyan mention some inflatable safety concers about operation and use. Arthur encourages parents to make sure they rent from a company that has safety rules, safety warnings near entrances, certifications for operation, and follow industry safety measures. Another concern is lead in the vinyl material. Some ways parents can make sure their kids are safe is to rent from a company that has newer inflatables. As inflatables age and get older, the lead within the vinyl coloring becomes more exposed to the surface making it higher in lead concentration, therefore, go with a company that has newer inflatables which are within the safety standards.

Some inflatables featured during the filming included the Bubble Ball, Sports Shootout, Basketball Inflatable, Inflatable Toddler Combo, Ultimate Boxing Ring, 32' Obstacle Course, Dolphin Jr. Wave water slide, and the Surfing Mechanical Ride.

NEWS: ABC World News Report with Magic Jump Rentals on Bounce House Safety

A recent incident in New York left a lot of people running for safety. A fly away bounce house during a soccer match in New York injured 13 people as the inflatable went airborne and flipped over numerous times. ABC World news reporters visited Magic Jump Rentals, bounce house rental company in Los Angeles, CA, to get our view on bounce house safety and what people should know.

Magic Jump Rentals' Gary Torosyan was interviewed by ABC World news reporter to ask him about safety concerns and what can be done to prevent such incidents. Torosyan responded that bounce houses are considered "amusement rides" and there is a level of risk as with anything else, but by following the safety rules which are noted on every Magic Jump Rentals ride, parents and kids can be rest assured that they will be in a safe environment.

Most of these accidents that are reported, much like the similar incident in Arizona, are due to irresponsible operators and no attendants during the event. Torosyan urges that parents be mindful of who they rent from and make sure the inflatable rental company is insured, follows safety standards, and informs customers about all safety rules.

NEWS: Magic Jump Rentals' Mechanical Bull In A Fitting Role

The studios keep calling and Magic Jump Rentals is ready and prepped. Most recently, Cartoon Network’s very own “Dude, What Would Happen” live-action reality show has invited us on set to help in the production of footage for their upcoming season of episodes.

The show features three male teenagers who wonder what would happen if some wild event, scheme, or experiment were to occur. They then try to create the event themselves and consult experts when needed.

“Dude, What Would Happen” ranks #1 in its timeslot among boys 6-11 on all television with a total of 2.1 million watching each episode. It is targeted toward viewers aged 9-17, which is right up our alley at Magic Jump Rentals, so we are happy to contribute to the show.

For one of their upcoming episodes, the producers of “Dude, What Would Happen” have rented Magic Jump Rentals’ very own Mechanical Bull. We can only imagine what the three teens will draw up with this ride on set.

Tune in starting June 1 and on with Cartoon Network to find out what would happen if these dudes got their hands on a mechanical bull. Everyone at Magic Jump Rentals will definitely have their eyes glued.
